Faith Statement

 

That the Bible was written by holy men as directed by the Holy Spirit and thus, it is the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.  2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

 

In one God, eternally existing in three persons:  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

In the deity of Christ, in his virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to earth in power and glory.  Matthew 1:18, 23, Luke 1:34-35, Hebrews 4:15, Acts 2:22, Romans 6:10, Philippians 2:6-11, 1 Peter 3:18, Matthew 26:64, Matthew 24:30
   
In a personal salvation through Jesus Christ by responding to Him in repentance, by verbally acknowledging Jesus is Lord, and believing in the heart that God has raised Him from the dead.

In the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, whereby a Christian is enabled to live a godly and holy life in this present evil world.  John 16:7-8, 13, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:11, Ephesians 5:18, Galatians 5:16
   
In water baptism as a command of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, to be experienced by everyone who believes in Him.  Matthew 28:19
   
In the Lord's Supper, to keep it as instructed by the Lord Jesus.  Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
